Shortcut Actions

You can use Shortcuts actions to do many of the same things you can do in Capsule, allowing you to further integrate your medications into your existing systems and routines.

Shortcuts actions for Capsule are a Pro feature.

Add Medication

Add a new medication to Capsule, including setting the repeat type, due date, and minimum dose interval.

You can configure:

  • Name
  • Due Date
  • Length of repeat
  • Type of repeat
  • Minimum Dose Interval

Mark Medication Taken

Log a medication as taken, optionally setting a custom (future) date, number of doses, and adding a note.

You must select which medication, and you can also specify:

  • Date (including a future date)
  • Number of doses
  • A note

Open

Open Capsule to a specific tab.

You can open Capsule to the Medications, History, or Settings views.

Skip Medication

Mark a medication as "Skipped", optionally specifying a (future) date and a note.

Find Medication

Searches for medications that match your criteria.

You can filter by:

  • Name
  • Date added
  • Tags
  • Doses started
  • Archive state

You can also set the following:

  • Sort by: Optionally, what to sort the medication by.

  • Limit: Whether or not to limit the number of medications retrieved.

Find Taken Entry

Searches for medication entries that match your criteria.

You can filter by:

  • Medication Name
  • Timestamp
  • Added on
  • Updated On

You can also set the following:

  • Sort by: Optionally, what to sort the taken entry by.
  • Limit: Whether or not to limit the number of taken entry retrieved.
