Settings

From the Settings page, you're able to further customise Capsule to work best for you, including enabling global notifications, or exporting your data.

Interface Colour

Pro users are able to change the accent colour used within Capsule. This will change the colour across menus, buttons, and various pieces of text within the app.

Archived Medications

If you have archived a medication, whether from the Medications View, or by editing a medication, it will appear in the Archived Medications page within Settings. From here you can view an archived medication's details, permanently delete it, or restore it to be used again. Please note that deleting a medication will also delete all of its history and that this cannot be undone.

Notifications

You are able to customise your notification settings both globally and on a per-medication basis. Global Notification settings will apply to all of your medications unless otherwise overridden by a custom notification setting on a specific medication.

The Notifications Settings Page The Notifications Settings Page

Enabling Global Notifications will make each of your medications send a notification based on the settings in this page, unless otherwise overridden by a per medication custom notification setting

You can opt to be notified when a medication becomes due and when it becomes available, based on the repeat and minimum interval settings of each medication.

If a medication becomes overdue, you can opt to enable "Repeat Notifications", where you will get regular notifications if a medication remains overdue. If you have created two or more medications, you will be asked to confirm that you want to go ahead when attempting to enable them.

Time Sensitive Notifications are given a higher priority and can be combined with Focus Modes within iOS to further control how you receive notifications.

If you want to avoid anyone seeing what medications you're taking by reading the name in the notification, you can disable Show Notification Name. Doing so changes the notification to just say "Medication Due" without specifying the name.

If you have any medications using custom notification settings, they will be listed at the bottom of the screen.

Please note that you can still prevent Capsule from sending you notifications using various native iOS features including Focus Modes and Do Not Disturb settings, or by disabling Capsule's notification permissions within Apple's Settings app.

Data

Your data is important and we will never hold it hostage. We believe that you should be able to take all your data at any point and use it however you would like.

As such we provide an option to export a JSON dump of all your data from within Capsule. This includes all your medications as well as all your full medication history.

This export can then also be imported back into Capsule if you ever need to switch between Apple accounts or similar.
