Adding a Medication
When you open Capsule, you’ll be looking at the All Medications View. This page displays a list of all of your active medications divided into sections based on their current status (Overdue, Upcoming, Available, and Unavailable).
To create a new medication, press the on the top right section of the navigation bar.
If you don’t currently have any medications in the app, a large Add Medication
button will be at the bottom of the screen.
This opens a popover where you can set all the required information to add your medication. From here you can add the name, set as colour and symbol, and set the schedule for taking the medication.
The only required data for a medication to have is a name, everything else can be left blank or updated as required.
To learn more about adding a medication and all the available options, see [Creating a Medication](/docs/creating-a-medication
Once you’ve filled out the details of your medication, press the Add
button on the top right of the popover to be taken to the Medication Detail page where you can easily log the medication you’ve just created.
You can also easily log the medication from the All Medications View, by taping on its tile. If the medication is unavailable, you will be given a warning but can override this if desired. To view the medications details tap on the button within the medications tile.
